Donna in Stitches

Hi! Thanks for stopping by. I'm a quilter, knitter, crafter, and fiber enthusiast that lives in Washington State. I use my blog as a way to try to keep track of my current projects and all the ones I want to do in the future. Feel free to leave a comment, I love checking out the blogs of people that visit!
I have completed one of my BOM and only have 1 block left of the other BOM to do. I will post pictures soon. I have been so busy with Christmas gifts that I had to stop on my BOM until after the holidays.
I have been busy embroidering on oh so soft blankies for the grandchildren. Knitting Sun Bonnet Sue plastic bag holder and a Sun Bonnet Sue cover for a wisk broom and a matching dish cloth for my BFF. I finished my Martha Pullen Christmas SWAP Ornaments and have gotten them mailed and I have received two from my SWAP Group.

Lingerie
My New Undies
Today I attended my SVT club meeting and after the meeting we learned how to sew ladies underwear. What a fun, fast and very much needed article of clothing.
Picture is my finished undies. I used a shortened zig zag stitch to attach the crotch and the elastic for the legs and waist band. I can't wait to try them on and test the fit. My next ones will be to do them on my Baby Lock Serger. I am sure it will be much faster with finished edges.

This is my very first sewing blog, I have a lot to learn so my blog will be having a few changes in the beginning.
I am a housewife to a wonderful man, mom and grandmother. We have 4 fabulous grown children,
3 sons and 1 daughter have 10 awesome grandchildren, 8 grandsons and 2 granddaughters.
I am a "mom" to an opinionated very crossed eyed Siamese cat, machine embroider sewing fanatic and quilter. Love scrapbooking. Ride a Honda Gold Wing cross this beautiful USA in the spring and summer months.
I have just moved back to my home town and now that I have unpacked most of what is needed for now. I am sewing UFO's.
Skipper has his basket at the back of my embroidery machine in the window. He loves to lay there in the sun. Today he didn't like the noise I was making with my sewing machine. Looks like he is saying "I have a headache".
